I don't think it's accusatory at all, she's literally sharing her concern with a subordinate and phrasing it specifically where she's not the subject. She's blaming the other crewmen, not the morale officer.
None of the AI-enhanced versions get the facial reaction right, but the more detailed AI background is an improvement. An artist obviously isn't going to be inclined to put in the time and effort to make a background look that ornate when the important part of the image in on what's happening with the person in the foreground, so handing that task to AI makes sense.
A human doing things that require actual thought, skill, and attention to detail while delegating busywork to AI is probably the best way to use it.
Would be funny to see a page where she has completely lost track of how many penalties she's accumulated. "This is annoying, but I'm only stuck as a girl for like a month, two months tops!" and then a real counter shows up in the corner saying "254 days left!"

If this is an image canon to the ongoing story of Lighter Chains, about where can it be placed in the timeline of her conditioning, issue-wise? If I were to hazard a guess, based upon how short her hair is and how her body language seems to indicate that she's still acclimating herself to her newly-acquired anatomy, I'm gonna go with either Vol. 1 or 2 -- or, perhaps, 1.5.
if you want people to know this isn't just a cover you should add the cover as a separate, and put something like "animated with text" or "Text Story" on the thumbnail for this :)
