Independent of the story, her expression in this pic makes me think of a scenario where a thin weak nerd comes into a gym seeking to bulk up and become an "alpha" only to fail so miserably he gets fairly quickly turned into a girl as the hyper-masculine magic of the gym drains his manhood away. This is the facial expression just after being freshly transformed: pure bewilderment.

Nice touch with the black hole and its accretion disk, I do like scientific realism mixed in with my SciFi.

::sigh:: Some things never change... the woman cops the blame for the men behaving badly trying to get her attention. I bet the commander is going to end up disciplining her.

Cool, just stumbled across this one, presume its a possible followup to Dark Alter. There's only the one page despite being page 02?

My theory - the demons are being used just as much as she is and they don't like seeing their offspring being enslaved by the people running the ritual, so he's helping her to escape in the hope her and her child can be free.

Maybe in the future the child will return to destroy the cult.

Thats so hot. Reversible at will TG like thats been my personal favorite and I hope we get more of this in the future. Also I think the modern setting is a nice contrast to Lighter Chains and its more fantasty-based setting.

The purpose is to breed demons with compatible mortals. The resulting half breeds often retain some super natural powers while being more suited to living on this plane permanently.

Of the choices, I'll definitely give the nod to the Hybrid version. The more detailed background definitely enhances the main character's reaction. It IS interesting to see what the AI does with the character, I'll agree, but overall, I still prefer your art style.

None of the AI-enhanced versions get the facial reaction right, but the more detailed AI background is an improvement. An artist obviously isn't going to be inclined to put in the time and effort to make a background look that ornate when the important part of the image in on what's happening with the person in the foreground, so handing that task to AI makes sense.

A human doing things that require actual thought, skill, and attention to detail while delegating busywork to AI is probably the best way to use it.

For sure, the AI faces all have the eyes looking at something because that's what's in the training set. But for a 'surprise from behind' expression, you want the eyes staring straight forward not focused on anything. Also the teeth clenched "eee" mouth shape is more startled, where the "o" mouth is more surprised, but it just can't do the more emotive facial expressions.

The biggest production potential I can see right now is using it for backgrounds. It's able to match my colors and lighting pretty well with a lot more detail. And even in top tier anime like studio Ghibli, they're using painted over photographs for backgrounds a lot, so it's not that unusual.

The character renders are just an novelty. I like seeing my characters in different styles that I'd never be able to manage.
